Very handy location and the people were nice. It was cheap at the discounted price (but wouldn't like to have paid the full price)
Dislikes:
The fixtures and fittings are past their best, so although it was clean on the surface, the carpets, furniture etc are slightly grubby in a way that can only be fixed by replacing them.

I am sorry that your stay was very disappointing but I do thank you for pointing out the down falls. The furniture etc in that room are the next to be replaced, we just haven't got round to it yet. However there is no excuse for the window and no hot water. You should be able to get hot water at any time of the day whether the heating is on or not, so again I thank you for pointing that out to us. Perhaps you could give Blairmains another chance to see the improvements! Thank you

By American standards our room (which was the largest) was small. We couldn't have asked for more help. We were given local directions, advice on taking the train rather than driving, and good food.... Read more

The room was a little dated. The nearby highway made access very easy and there was little if any noise during the night. We've been on the road nearly a month with our longest stop being 4 nights and this economical B&B was pleasant if a little cramped. Read less

We stayed one night in a double room with en-suite shower. The room was a little tired but clean and tidy. It was very welcome to find that the owners provide a guest room where you are welcome to consume take away food or heat your own ready meals in a microwave oven. Plates, cutlery etc are all provided free of charge and you don't even have to wash your plates up. This was our second stay and we would not hesitate to stay again. Read less

Dislikes:
The tv was on top of a wardobe which is a little to high for me.
